Welcome to Royce Rangers

Royce Rangers is a community organistion. We wouldn’t be here without the generosity of local volunteers who give up their time to run and support the club.

We are always looking for volunteers to lend a hand and have some important vacancies we need to fill.

If you can help, please get in touch by emailing: clubsecretary@roycerangersfc.co.uk

The Club Secretary carries out or delegates the administrative duties that allow Royce Rangers and its members to function properly. The Club Secretary is a pivotal role and has a close involvement in the general running of the club. This includes letting members know about meetings, as well as handling correspondence to outside bodies via formal letters and emails.

You need to be a good organiser and communicator but will get plenty of help and support from the Club Chair and other members of the Royce Rangers Committee.

Sometimes called a Fixtures Secretary, the League Secretary is the person who acts as our main point of contact with the leagues we play in. They help to arrange and rearrange of fixtures, pass on information from league organisers, stay up-to-date with any rule changes and help to ensure the smooth running of our season.

The Membership Secretary plays a really important role in helping us to get set up for each new season. They look after our list of registered players and make the necessary changes when people leave or join Royce Rangers. They help to move players into new age groups when each season comes to an end, as well as issuing updates and reminders to Club Members about fees and payments. The Membership Secretary works with our coaches to make sure existing members have paid and follow up on late payments so that kids are properly insured to train and play.

Our RR Cafe is the heartbeat of the football club for matches and training sessions. It’s also a really important source of income for us, as we rely almost exclusively on membership fees and sponsorship to buy equipment and take care of our pitches. We need someone who can help to manage the cafe by coordinating other cafe volunteers from across the different Royce Rangers age groups and making sure we’re ready to trade at weekends throughout the season. No catering experience needed.

We train and play at the Rutland Showground and match days can get very busy. With Rugby matches and car boot sales taking place around the same time, we need volunteers who can spare a couple of hours on a Sunday morning to help direct vehicles to spaces in our main car park or to overflow parking on Land’s End way.

It’s a small time commitment but a really important job that helps the club to run smoothly on busy days.

Royce Rangers teams play in various leagues with sides from across Leicestershire. With hundreds of matches taking place every weekend between September and May, we’re not always guaranteed referees and touch judges to oversee our games. If you have any experience as a referee or linesperson and can spare the odd weekend, we make sure match officials receive a fee of £20 for each game they officiate.
