From the 2018/19 Presentation evening programme:

Hurricanes: Pretty successful season for a new team this year, lost a few, won a few and drawn many! A lot of the draws came closer to the end of the season from games that would have been lost, but over the year this little team has developed in to a great bunch of FRIENDS who have been encouraging each other, on the field this has shown, heads did not drop, team mates helped to pick them up and fight for a draw. The football has been good, the friendships have been best! What a place to be! Get ready for next year! Thanks to all the parents for their support this year and a special thank you to all the sponsors!! Without you we cannot do this!

Tornados: Another successful season for the Tornados. Playing at the highest standard for their age group many eyebrows were raised when the decision was made but they have more than held their own at this level, performing consistently and beating some very good sides in the process that in the past we’ve struggled against! Starting from our GK who has been superb, gaining recognition for being one of the best in the league to our very talented, well organised and committed defenders we never concede many goals. Our attacking players are gaining a better understanding of the game and with their undoubted talent and flair, goals have not been a problem. All in all another impressive season from the Tornado boys and like I say each year I am excited to see how far these lads can progress if kept together.

Typhoons: we were newly set up last season to give every under 10 player the chance to play regular league matches, making us the 3rd team in the U10 group.  In goal we have Tom who came into the team with little experience in goal, he has grown into a fearless goalkeeper who’s confidence is growing week by week. Then we have the twins, Archie and Harrison have been a contributing factor to the Typhoons success with their great attitude and reading of the game and solid defence. Milo in central defence has unlimited energy and is very quick on the ball. Mason in defence, in the games he’s played this season Mason has shown great strength and a good eye for a pass.  Alex came late into the team slotted straight into central defence alternating with Milo, he has been a great asset to the team with his positive attitude.  Ollie G is our wing wizard, great ability energy and strength and always smiling. Sam in left midfield has a great football mind, very good on the ball and is a big team player. Spencer striker/midfield is the youngest player in our team but has proved his place this season with his selfless passing, unlimited assists being a strong team player.  Dec our striker is also a younger player and again has certainly proved his place in the team.  His ability to find space and beat defenders is endless and makes scoring goals look simple. We have seen a total 26 fantastic goals throughout the season from Dec, Spencer, Sam and Ollie and with our solid defence of Milo, Alex, Mason, Archie, Harrison and Tom in goal, we have only suffered 3 defeats all season! The Typhoons attitude and willingness to learn both in training and matches has been excellent and I am honoured to have been their coach, continue with the good work lads and carry on playing with the passion and great team spirit you have next season.
