Welcome to Royce Rangers

A message from the Chairman

First established in 1974, Royce Rangers Football Club sits firmly at the heart of grassroots football and is one of the largest community sports clubs in Rutland.

With an ethos of ‘football for everyone’, Royce is proud to have more than 200 registered players. As we approach our 50th anniversary as a club, we are lucky to have generations of families who have trained and played with us and still maintain a connection to the football club, many years later.

Royce Rangers FC is based at the Rutland County Showground, with access to more than 15 acres of playing and training space, bespoke changing and shower facilities, plus our warm and welcoming RR cafe for food, drink and friendly chatter.

As a club, we offer high-quality FA Chartered-standard football and have a suite of safeguarding and protection policies that ensure our children train and play in an appropriately mentored environment. All our coaches and helpers are volunteers, supported by rigorous FA training and standards, a highly motivated volunteer committee and a dedicated independent Club Welfare Officer.

Funded directly by annual subscriptions (membership) and generous sponsorship from the Rutland community, the club continues to welcome new members and is always keen to hear from families, volunteers and coaches who are looking to support their community club. We also fund FA training for those who would like to pursue relevant coaching qualifications

Having proudly reintroduced girls football to Royce Rangers, following the fantastic Women’s Euros in 2023, we are a truly inclusive club that is committed to providing football for all children aged 5–16 years of age, in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
