A message from the Chairman

First established in 1974, Royce Rangers Football Club sits firmly at the heart of grassroots football and remains one of the largest community sports clubs in the County of Rutland.

With an ethos of games for all, Royce has spent many years building up to the membership numbers we are proud of today (over 220 registered players in 2020/21) and throughout our 46 year history, we have been lucky enough to retain generations of families who engage with and remain at their local football club. Moving to its current home at the Rutland Showground in 2014, we boast access to over 15 acres of playing and training surface, bespoke changing and shower facilities and a clubhouse renowned for a friendly environment, refreshments, football chatter and shelter from the cold on a challenging weather day.

We continue to offer high quality FA Chartered standard football and have a suite of safeguarding and protection policies that ensure our children train and play in an appropriately mentored environment. All our coaches and helpers are volunteers but they backed up by rigorous FA training and standards, a highly motivated volunteer committee and a very responsive and independent Welfare Officer.

Funded directly by annual subscriptions (membership) and generous sponsorship from the Rutland community, the club continues to welcome new members and is always keen to hear from families and qualified FA coaches who are looking to support their community club.  We also fund FA training for those who would like to pursue relevant coaching qualifications and have recently enrolled in the FA Playmaker scheme with several successes (including the Chair and Vice-Chair of the club).

Thank you for visiting our website and please feel free to contact us for more information on the football (and fun) opportunities we offer to all children aged 5 – 16 years of age.
